Our Distinguished faculty include individuals who have dedicated their professional lives to the field of child advocacy.  They include:

Professor Francine Raguso, M.A.

Professor Raguso was the former Program Director for Court Appointed Special Advocates Of Morris & Sussex Counties, Inc. While at CASA she developed two model programs at the request of the Presiding Family Court Judge, a Juvenile Advocacy Program and a Supervised Visitation Program. Both programs matched trained volunteers to court referred cases. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the statewide program, CASA of NJ, Inc. Professor Raguso served on the Steering Committee of the Child and Family Services Review and was appointed to Citizen Review Panel III, a state mandated committee charged with investigating permanency issues. Professor Raguso is a doctoral student at Fordham University in the Department of Sociology.

Professor Joe Del Russo, J.D.

Professor Del Russo is the Chief Assistant Prosecutor of the Special Victims Unit of the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.  He is a Past-President of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, New Jersey Chapter.  Professor Del Russo is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law.  He has also taught at Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Work in New Brunswick, NJ and Berkeley College in West Paterson, NJ.

Professor Christine Baker, Ph.D.

Professor Baker is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in West Orange, NJ.  She is a Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, in the Department of Pediatrics where she serves as Adjunct Medical Staff.  Dr. Baker also serves as Consulting Psychologist for Babyland Family Services in Newark, and for St. Clare's Behavioral Health Services, Child Abuse Treatment Program in Boonton, NJ.

Professor Pauline Garcia-Reid, Ph.D., L.C.S.W.

Professor Garcia-Reid is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has a Certificate in Minuchin Family Therapy and is also a Bilingual Clinical Social Worker at the Wynona M. Lipman Child Advocacy Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (Newark, NJ). Dr. Garcia-Reid has extensive experience conducting forensic evaluations of children and perpetrators of interfamilial and non-familial sexual abuse, and has demonstrated a commitment to practice and research with racial and ethnic minority children and families. She has also worked as the manager of Program Evaluation at Youth Consultation Service (Newark, NJ). Dr. Garcia-Reid holds a joint appointment in the Child Advocacy Program and in the Family and Child Studies Program in the Department of Human Ecology at Montclair State University.
