Used WebFerret to seek "The best free 32 bit software for download for Windows 95" and via AOL NetFind, it turned up the following link.

This was one of very few links sponsered by an *.edu on the entire list... along with it being from MSU, I decided to check it out.
The applications they offer directly for download can use some improvement (although some of the stuff isn't too bad), but check out the list of links offered on the bottom of the page... If you can't find the software your looking for on one of those sights, it's probably not out there (or at least not legally distributed).
