I am currently testing out NetZero the free ISP.
So far, it looks like I have a decent connection... the ads take about one inch by five inches of screen space... I can choose where to put the ads but I can't get rid of it without cutting my connection.
I'll let you know upon further testing how good or bad they may be as an ISP...

Actually there are a couple annoying features. The software shuts down completely upon disconnection so you have to reboot to redial.
Also of the four numbers local to me, one no longer seems to exist and a second does not connect properly. A third seems likely to get perpetual busy signals.
It also occurs to me that I can move the ads off of my browser window by not using the browser in full screen mode... having a decent resolution to the monitor, I can actually get away with that without serious content loss. :)

Maybe their connections aren't so good... my carrier was lost and I'm having trouble reconnecting...
