Yes, Lady Fee certainly is a female character used to portray corruption by the author but the Lady Holy Church (also obviously female) is used in a very positive context. The Holy Church (although some females may not wish to be associated with an admittedely troubled institution) is used in Piers as the epitome of virtue. There certainly is symbolism here that reflects gender biases but the sword cuts both ways. Fraud, Lady Fee's husband is a blantantly corruptive character.
