I found this site to be very helpful in understanding the Plague or the Black Death . I read The great Mortality Part One so I would further understand what was happening to the people of that time. I notice it was said to be originated in China yet I never hear of the chinese being metioned in history of being carriers or the cause of the plague. In part two of the Great Mortality it shows how people of that time thought because this whole section is basically making references to religion and God's wrath. The way the people acted toward each other was totally animalistic and cowardly because I don't really think flagellants were any different than the Kings of that time. They assumed power over others and basically went around blaming everyone else for the plague and the others who said the Hell with it all because we are all Damned were just scared to fight against the unknown. I personally think that every few hundred years a germ comes along to cleanse the populus of the infection that humans have given the planet. Nature has purged itself of the Dinosaurs, Cavemen, and others; but why are we any different from anything that was here before us is my question.
