I agree. I think the filmmaker did a fine job representing the poor in the film. He did address and emphasize poverty effectively with quick scenes and images of the peasants. The girl especially, by her expressive face and body. Coming away from watching the film, these images burned the strongest in my mind more than the ones surrounding the mystery.
