I thought the movie was not at all that bothersome. I actually believe it did the novel justice whereas many movies do not. I did, however notice that the character of Berengar was heavily prevalent in the movie. Berengar always seemed to be lurking in the shadows, and appeared on screen more than any of the minor characters. I wondered why that was done.
