Iagree with you Meredith when it comes to differences between the book and the movie. I noticed that he was called by another name also what took me by surprise was how Adso and the peasant girl had an sexual encounter. Even down to the images of the peasants, in the book as well as in class we discussed how the peasant girl represents the entire peasant population but that is not the case in the movie.
