The The first three books of this text are a description of the social composure at the time. Although in book one the narrator delievers the resolution to his conflict in away that was rather interesating. He ask's "HOw do I save my Soul?" The Lady Holy Church replies, "Seek Truth". She explains that in one way or the other eveything will work itself out if one obeys the word of God and lets truth be their only guiding force. Yet the intriguing conflict I find that exists inthis explanation is when he claims that he has no ability for grasping the truth, and she replies that it is inbred in all men, "There is natural knowledge in your heart." If every man has this inbred into their hearts, than why does The Lady Holy church proclaim, "Men of learning who know this should proclaim it everywhere; for Christians and heathens alike are crying out fore it." If it is in all of us, than why would we need someone to teach it to us? This creates an intereasting problem, how do you teach someone something that they already know but can't recoginize it.
The aspect of the Trinity in this book was presented to me in a way that never was before and makes perfect sense. It is noted that the three persons of the Trinity was an example of undivided unity and loyalty. It was just something that I thought was rather intereasting, as well as enlightening.
