I don't think we really allow the oppression of the working classes to continue. Unfortunately, the powers that be have the upper hand and they use it quite liberally to keep the working classes and all those opposed to their ways of life down. The evidence is right there in chapter 6 of LUS, where the police and national guard were called in to put down labor strikes forcefully. The freedom of speech ammendment was altered and stripped from those who tried to speak out. The working class seems nearly powerless to stop this from happening, as it doesn't have the money or the bloodlines that those in power do. What the working classes can do, however, is keep the word out there and keep on publishing books like LUS. Hopefully, more people will pick them up and take up the cause.
