One way to look at the history of the United States is to sum it up by saying how we are not really a free contry. The U.S. champions an image of free speech, freedom of religion, fair and equal wages and working conditions. What is never included in this basic high school histroy lesson are the struggles the working class people had to endure for years get this far. The eight hour work day was only implimented after hundreds of children and adults suffered and sometimes died after a 12-16 hour one. One will only learn of the greedy leaders once you begin to scratch the surface of who people like John Rockefeller. Labor's Untold Story made a specific reference to how many millionairs came out of this war, and did not want to see an end to it any time soon. How could there be profit be with no war?
