Time and time again, I have come to realize that there is something wrong with our education system, or the way we transmit information because the events we read about in LUS, Freedom Road, and the Proud and the Free, were not taught to us, in our history books. The exploitation of the working class has been going on since the begging of this country as it is clearly illustrated in the Chapters of LUS. However, only the small number of people know about it, and we are constantly amazed as we read more and more about it. Why is that? My guess is that it is the rich and powerful ruling class trying to hide the truth to make us accept the way things are for their own benefit--so that they can continue to get richer while many work night and days to meet their needs.
