After carefully reading Chapter 9, it was surprising, and quite pleasant to see how from the economic destruction and pure national tragedy the Great Depression caused, the Unions were able to find some sort of solace, regroup and use the depression as an opportunity to have their voices finally be heard. Although not without enduring the sheer barbarity from the nation's "defense forces" that focused more on diffusing legitimate strikes and Union oganization than anything else, I believe that for the first time since all of these proletariat/bourgeousie struggles first began. After the San Francisco General Stike of 1934, from this point on, greater, more profound victories was certainly imminent.
