This issue of POW/MIAs is very disturbing to me. Why does the government of the United States prolong these families agony of not knowing the fate of their family member? I also do not think that they should forget about these people, but from the book it seems that they do actually know that some of these people died, but they just have not recovered the bodies. There should be much less emphasis on the POW/MIA issue and a lot of emphasis put upon the people that did come back from the war. I myself know a few Vietnam War Veterans and they are constantly tortured by the images that they observed while serving in Vietnam. The sights of these poor homeless men without legs or arms is very frightening. Why can't we help these people? It's ridiculous.
