Pg 34 Government Conspiracy Once again another reference had stated that the United States Government had lies to American people about the VietNam War. This paragraph stated that one of the most important lessons of the VietNam War is that the U.S government routinely and sytematically lies to the American people. This was something that two completely opposite sides of one believing that there are still live POWs existed and one belive there are none were agreed on. What else did the United Sates government had hidden from us. We have learn about the dishonest of United States Government to the public in the Chomsky and Race's articals. At first i still would think wether or not to believe these, but as i read more about the informations of the VN War the one thing that i have learn over and over was that of the dishonest of U.S government to its people. And even later on the this book there was a paragraph that said in some part of the government itself had been lied to.
Pg 47-48 With increasing horror....
This paragraph had remind me of the artical of Jeff Race " War Come To Long An" and the first few pages of Young's book about Diem's law which were inforced in May 1959 that had terror the people of Vietnam. The United States Government had questioned about no matter how many Viet Cong were killed but then there seem to be more of them every day, and were wonder how this happened. It is obviously if according to Jeff Race's experienced in Long An that the peasants were following the Communist becaouse they have to find an easier way to survive. Also as well as Diem's law had forced them to. The My Lai massacre was some what more official. American had seen these horrible images of United States soilders raped Vietnamese women, killed villagers and used children for practice targets and didn't do anything about it. Also they accused the Vietnamese of tortured the prisoners of war but have they thought of the prisonners who were disfigured and crippled by the United states..... .
