As I do not have time to wait to see if anyone replies to me I will comment on what I have read of the other comments posted, form Anthony, Jen,Samatha, Amy and some others. We all seem to be on the same wave length - that we understand why they did what they did although we cannot agree with all their actions. I guess it always usefull to put oneself in the other persons shoes befor you judge them, as only then can you make a decision. I think that is what all of us are trying to do, because we know that had it been us out there we would have probably shot everything as well just to stay alive. I imagine that a lot of the time the soldiers who were on the ground were absolutely terrified and consequently would open fire at every movement. Of course if this is the case then it brings into question why then when they had say for example a man, women or child in front of them that they knew was unarmed, why were they still acting like animals? I know that as humans we have the nature to be violent and when pushed we will perform or committ acts that we would not have normally done, but to cut someones fingers off, or scalp them makes you wonder in hell drove them to do that? I do not believe all of them were pyschopaths, which when you think about it, this type of behaviour would be expected....christ I can't hear myself think because two people are talking RIGHT IN MY EAR!!!!! I had better stop now as I need to go and scalp someone only joking...see you all in class tomorrow.
