I agree that one of the main things that we have learned in this class is that everything must be quesitoned. I always assumed that the things that were presented in documentaries were supposed to fact, or at least the closest to reliable information as could be obtained. I guess that is a pretty naive way to think. Just as Cumings maintains, there is always going to be someone with an axe to grind or a reputation to protect, or a motive for falsifying information. If we don't believe what is seen on television news why should we trust a documentary? I came into this course believing that there were at least some forms of government and media that could be trusted, now I realize that there is so much that needs to be researched and challenged before conclusions can be drawn.
