I understand that soldiers are trained to "kill or be killed" and if this is not followed through, than they will die. However, I disapprove of the certain tactics, such as shooting at a MAM. Who the hell wouldn't jump if gunfire was shot directly in front of you?? I know I would run immediately and then I would be a suspect. If someone is shooting near you, your first reaction is "they are trying to hit me and they are missing so I must run". This was only to give the soldiers justification for shooting a MAM. They did not care whether a Vietnamese person was on the enemy side, because all of them were the enemies. Don't you think this is a race issue? I could be wrong, but read my post further down the page.
