Yes my friends, after years and years of research, I have finally found the enemy. It was originally intended to be capitalism in its purest form. All ideas and theories of capitalism were to be considered evil, inhumane, and immoral. But rather, my fellow students, capitalism is not the enemy, it is the system that we all grew up on, the system that enabled us to get jobs, the system that enabled us to by the best in clothing. My father is a capitalist, and, if I may say so, so is your father. If any one of you say you are not a capitalist then you are simply not telling the truth, you are lying to yourselves and to the rest of America. There is no way to function and lead a good life in America without being a capitalist.
Moreover, there can be many alternatives to the strict bourgie life style, I for one have been thrilled by the idea’s of Marxism for years, but I know just like anyone else that a utopian society will never work. It has been tried many times, and it simply cannot function. You see my friends, we live in a free society, where capitalism enables to do whatever we want; if one decides to start a business, then one has the freedom to do so, if one decides to invent a new product, then one has the freedom to do so also. You see there are many advantages to our little friendly system, do not be afraid of it, rather, use it to develop your own life. You see our forefathers initially started capitalism as a revolutionary idea. In its purest form, it was to transcend the idea of the monarchy, and to establish a democracy that gave its people the freedom to do whatever they pleased. If the situation became too out of hand, then the government would intervene accordingly. This my friends offers the people great amounts of freedom, which in a greater extent, can be a terrible thing. You see, communism and Marxism offer a society where the government has a grasp on everything, this means the people lose their freedom. If one wants to start a new business, the freedom is not there to do so, if one wants to make a film, the government must approve of it first. Ironically, this can be an extremely beneficial idea for the people. You see the government must be a moral one, this means that it must intervene into society accordingly, whenever there is an immoral element present, it must rid of it. In communism, the people become enfranchised so to speak, the classes in society are done away with and society as a whole works for each other. It is a true society; there are no individuals out for there own personal profit, as in a capitalist society; rather all work is done for the good of society as a whole. This means that all classes in society are done away with, and everybody is happy. The government provides for them everything that they need, in Marxism there is no idea that one person as a whole will benefit from his own doings. The bourgie are eliminated and the proletariat takes over. The idea of Marxism alluded to many on paper, yet the full realization of a utopian society never came to be. In a sense, a utopian society may mean the loss of freedom. Is this what we really want?
Now my friends, after I have strayed from the topic at hand, I will get back on track. Capitalism, as a system of total freedom, may mean two things. A small business owner who works hard and supports his family, or a greedy corporate monster who cares about nothing else but his own profit. Therefore, when a government grants the freedom to pursue business freely, than greed will become a big factor. Now my friends, I will reveal to you the real enemy, Imperialism. The businessman knows that he is free from government persecutions, so the biggest question on his mind is how to gain the biggest profits. The rotten capitalist cares nothing about his fellow society members, or anything else top that matter, he only cares about his own gain. A quick solution arises to his problem, build factories in countries where economy is low and wages are low, increase the price on the goods made there, so the profit coming in would be huge. This my friends is the rotten idea of imperialism. Oh and I forgot, on the way to fulfilling your greedy dream, you can kill a few thousand people here and there, wage a few wars, steal raw materials, all that is fine, as long as your making your money. The rotten capitalist and the greedy aristocrat have always caused problems for society; they care nothing for humanity in general, only for there own gains. Throughout history countless wars have been wages by the proletariat against the aristocrat, for it is he that puts aggression and a heavy burden on society. He has caused high unemployment in many of our cities, and high taxes in many of our neighborhoods. The greedy imperialist is the enemy. He not only causes grief and underdevelopment in 3rd world countries; he also puts the moral hard working proletariat in his own society down.
Now many of you ask, can there be capitalism without imperialism? That my friends I cannot answer. I know that a world without imperialism and greed would be a good one. I know that if imperialism were done away the world would be a better place. My friends I have started to sound like Michael Jackson, for this idea precisely I must shift my thoughts. As a fellow classmate pointed out, the very nature of capitalism is expansion. One accumulates profit, then one looks for more areas to expand that profit. Yet can a businessman be moral? Can he expand without hurting the lives of others and causing great hardship where it is not due? If we pay a poor little girl in Indonesia 10 cents to make a show that costs 5 dollars, than why do we have to pay 60? This is the doing of the greedy imperialist. My friends I bid you all farewell and salamaleykuim, "we are the world."
