I believe that greed is a nasty word. With what these past figures as shown in this article is saying I have no other conclusion than to think that imperialists and those that take advantage of the imperialist ways, are greedy men. I don't think it says anywhere in the capitalist format that you must continue until you bank is literally bursting from the amount of profit that you get from your business ventures. Especially when these ventures are purely to make you richer and in no significant way help the country as a whole.
Yes, we live in a capitalist country and it may be what has made our country powerful and great, but looking at it from a humanist level, it's cruel to our world and to human nature. As I see it we are digging ourselves deeper and deeper into a grave. People go around and talk about how they want to fight for cause, especially in third world nations where people are suffering and dying, and obviously not living as close to as similar lives as Americans. But it is our very countrymen and the people who back them and men similar that are creating the situation. To top it off we cover up the malicious behavior by saying that moving American business abroad will help develop poor nations. It is a big inhumane joke. What makes it more miserable, is that when it really comes down to it, it's for the money, and more and more money.
