The oppressive nature of the US in Vietnam does pose many questions. Why were we fighting a war against a country that will never gain enough power or support to conquer our country. Is it purely economics forcing us into a bitter war?

Capitalism has had a very long history to it. Especially in the U.S. As your article mentioned, we had our hand in Canada and Europe for a long time now.

It is funny how I have been mentally comparing this idea of capitalism and it benefits to only the wealthy to Ireland. It may be my interest in Irish history but from what I have learned it is the same story. The British take land away from the Irish and exploit their working class by forcing them into labour. The take away their unions and try to take away their religion. England did (and in many ways still does) consider Ireland to be a part of their country. The English even force a language upon the Irish. Is this exploitation any different than what we are doing to other counties? What about the Muslims and the Palestines? As Americans we think these governments who force their ideas on others are
