I agree with this article with regards to the war in Vietnam which took place at sea. Ben Chitty discuused how his ship's mission was called trip wire, because if the Chinese were going to enter the war, all they had to do is blow up Ben Chitty's ship. It's sick to think the US would put that many lives at risk, just to see if China would enter the war. I would like to remind everyone of the ignorance of US army intelligence. Remember when Ben mentioned he was the ship's translater? Well he spoke a tiny bit of French, which is what he claims the government thought this is the language of the Vietnamese?!!It just seems to me, that the war in Vietnam was an all around screw-up by US intelligence. As I mentioned, I liked this article, and the title unintentional massacre is exactly what Ben Chitty's ship was, a "trip wire," which could have sparked a bigger war with the Chinese, resulting in an unintentional massacre.
