I understand and agree with most all you have to say, Mr. Fusco, and I don't mean to sound like a goody-two shoes, but I have a question regarding your belief in Mr. Chitty's work with draft dodgers. When you call his efforts "admirable, courageous, and honorable," is that because you believe it is right to dodge the draft in each and every way possible? I know that I am going to get A LOT of crap for this, but I do not believe draft dodging is in any way, shape or form a decent thing to do. Why should some people get away with not going to war while others (who just as much did not want to go to Vietnam) be maimed or die? I personally have two uncles -- one who was sent to Vietnam and shot, and one who drafted the war through monetary means. Although I love both of my uncles, whenever they're in the same room, I look at the draft dodger in a completely different light. I have lost a great deal of respect for the man, and though it is probably very unfair, I feel he is untrustworthy and dishonest. I am no gungho "Let's go America!" patriot by any means, I'm just as against the Vietnam War as any of you, but all I'm saying is there's no reason why some should go and some should stay home. I haven't lost any respect for Ben Chitty if that's how he chose to make his anti-war statement, but I would by no means call his efforts "admirable, brave and courageous."
