I have mixed feelings about draft dodging. I can understand and even agree with what young men did in regards to dodging the VN War draft but I also feel that it is honorable to serve your country. I love my country. For all its faults, I would not want to live anywhere else. Although the US has done many unfair things that I disagree with, I think that we should try and change things rather than just say the country is not worthy of being defended. Many men and women risk their lives daily to keep our country safe. Even in peace time military personal die turning manuveurs and other accidents. To say that draft dodging is the right thing to do as a blanket statement is not something I can agree with. I can understand it under justifible circumstances but I also think to condone it is a dishonor to all the men like Ben Chitty who fought in VN and other wars.
