year.

Dr. Paul J.
Locher, a highly-respected and esteemed faculty member of the
department for over 30 years, has retired as of May 2006. He has
earned himself the Professor Emertius status and will continue his
research in aesthetics.

Dr. Irwin
Badin will be presenting at a workshop sponsored by the Institute for
Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of New Jersey on November 12, 2005 at
the Somerset Hills Hotel, Warren, NJ. The title is "The Therapist
Who Mistook His Patient For Himself & Other Tales From Inside The
Analytic Space: Understanding The Nature Of Therapeutic Action."

Dr. Irwin
Badin will be presenting at a workshop sponsored by the Institute for
Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of New Jersey on October 12, 2005 at
MSU. The title is "The Therapist’s Inner Self: A Lesson From
Buddhism."

Keenan is the Deputy Editor of the brand new academic journal, Social
Neuroscience.

Dr. Paul
Locher is the Keynote Speaker at the International Congress on the
Psychology of Art & Creativity to be held in Taipei, Taiwan from
September 28-30, 2005. His address is titled "Subjecting an
Aesthetic Episode with Visual Art to Empirical Scrutiny."

Dr. Milton Fuentes was invited to speak at a workshop conducted at the annual GSAPP's culture conference at Rutgers University. His talk was about "Will the real me please stand up: managing our multiple identities and their relationship to cultural competency. Dr. Paul Locher was elected the 2004 President
of American Psychological Association Division 10 - Society for
the Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts. This honor
recognizes Dr. Locher's outstanding work in visual perception and
