The M.A. Psychology degree has a mandatory thesis to be completed for four (4) credits towards the degree.  Students in the I/O concentration or the Child/Adolescent Clinical concentration can opt for either the thesis or an internship.

In order to complete a thesis, students must follow the thesis guidelines found on the webpage below.  Students are required to obtain a thesis sponsor and a committee who will assist them in the thesis-writing process and eventually the defending of the thesis.

Students interested in completing a thesis MUST contact Dr. John Adams, Thesis Advisor, to find out when the Thesis Seminar course will be meeting for the semester.  Students do not register for the Thesis Seminar until they are ready to write the thesis.  Upon attending the Thesis Seminar course and introducing their proposals, students then must complete the form in the Thesis Guidelines and obtain all the necessary signatures in order to register for PSYC 698: Thesis Seminar.

Students who have questions about the thesis option should contact either Dr. Anthony D'Urso, Graduate Advisor, or Lisa A. Ambrose, Dept. Administrator for assistance.
