The most shocking thing that i noticed from the film is how the children ended up exposed, through the trail and the media and the attention, to all of the sick and twisted images and ideas that the parents were trying to protect them from. Also, the protection, from the beginning, of the social worker is disgusting. "Professionals" need to state their credentials and motives from the beginning. It just made it sicker that she was romantically involved with the trash reporter...
