I remember seeing this movie when I was about 13 years old. I just finished watching it for the 2nd time and I must say that I cried. The statement that one of the parents use was the ends justife the means which is a quote that almost everyone uses nowadays. But is this true? I don't think so. The evidence of the procecution was based on what the kids said but not based on what they meant. Kids don't necessarily always speak the truth but they don't always lye. Is this the issue? No. The issue is that they were manipulated to believe something and even grown ups fall for brainwashing. Similarly, the media (my favorite topic) had so much to do with the case because they just instigated the whole thing. And why did they do this? Because high ratings= high checks. And why did the parents do it? scapegoat=dinero and compassion which means that people would give them jobs because their children were molested and why did the psycologist do it? psycologist wanna be = money to earn a psycology degree or just a job as a fake psycologist. He was the key to the movie. Not only was she bright but erudite on children's thinking. But as all humans we have a flaw and hers was that she got involved with a reporter. Sooner or later the truth would come out.
I feel so bad for the McMartin family and Bucky family. It's said that humans can be so evil.
