I didn't quite understand your point about having an English teacher teach foreign languages rather than ESL. Did you mean to say that they should be assigned to the foreign language classroom? What if they don't speak that language? Did you perhaps mean to imply that a teacher certified to teach English could also teach introductory Italian or Spanish? Could you clarify this for me? This is a problem that might need to be addressed in the future by teacher trainers?
