I believe sex education is a topic that should be taught in the 9th grade. If you talk to some of these kids in high school they don't know any thing about the dangers involved with having premature sex. There should be a class that focuses only on sex education for youngters.

In high school they do have health classes but they don't really focus on STD prevention or how to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. The only thing they say is don't have sex. Obviously kids are not being influenced by these so-called health classes. A class whose main objective is sex education is desperatly needed to protect our children from being exposed to all the dangers of having unprotected sex. It should be a very organized class where the teacher is well educated on the subject and will provide a comfortable environment where the kids feel as if they are not being judged for their actions, but are being helped in their decision making.
