It is very interesting but understandable that you feel that way reading Anzaldua's prose and poetry. I was worried about the impact of her use of Spanish on those of you who are not bilingual. I don't think it really erects a border though. As she clarifies what she means, she is forced to use her English prose and then the meaning comes through. However, I can see that it would still be an uncomfortable experience for many of you.
