Is there anything in your culture that resembles Anzaldua's bicultural experience? I know that European cultures have kept some of the ancient myths and rituals that were eventually absorbed by Christianity. Take the Christmas tree and its celebration. This is an ancient Pagan ritual (the winter solstice). What other ancient rituals exist in various European countries?
