DEPARTMENT OF SPANISH AND ITALIAN

The Department of Spanish and Italian believes strongly in the Study Abroad program for our majors and for any other students who are taking Spanish or Italian. The experience of studying and living in a Spanish speaking country or in Italy enhances students' understanding of the native culture while improving their language skills. Majors are encouraged to study abroad during any regular academic term, or, if not, at least during the summer or winter sessions. The Department organizes and oversees three types of programs for Spanish majors and non-majors: (1) Junior Year Abroad, (2) Summer Study, and (3) Winter Session.
